The Chauvin Arnoux C.A 5231 is equipped for carrying out all basic electrical measurements; it can test AC/DC voltage (including LowZ voltage), AC/DC, and resistance and tests continuity and diode. Before testing, you can use the built-in non-contact voltage detector to verify whether a circuit is live or not (if the screen turns red, there is a live cable nearby).

Thanks to its true RMS mode, the CA5231 maintains its accuracy, even when testing on irregular AC waveforms.
The unit also comes with a selection of additional features including auto or manual range selection, display hold (freezes the current value on the screen), and IP54 protection against dust and water splashes.
