TPI 275 Digital Clamp Meter

The TPI 275 TRMS Clamp Meter is a handy meter that can measure current up to 400A AC/DC, voltage up to 600V AC/DC, frequency up to 110MHz and capacitance up to 110mF and resistance up to 110MΩ. This is in addition to temperature measurement up to 537ËšC and testing for diode and continuity. High-resolution readings for every parameter provide excellent precision and the meter is also highly accurate thanks to True RMS correction.

The TPI 275 is a particularly useful instrument for HVAC professionals because a micro-amp range allows testing of devices such as smoke detectors whilst the temperature measurement allows the user to check the temperature in air ducts, for example. More advanced measurement features include min/max recording, peak hold, data hold, relative mode and automatic and manual ranging.

In addition to impressive measurement functions, the TPI 275 also features non-contact voltage detection which sounds when a hazardous voltage is detected. This adds an additional layer of safety alongside the safety categorisations of Cat II 1000V and Cat III 600V.

Readings are displayed on a backlit LCD display and the TPI 275 has a simple dial and push-button interface. The slim design and clamp allow the meter to be worked into tight spaces and it is provided a GK11M thermocouple probe, test leads, crocodile clips and a soft carry case. The instrument has a battery life of roughly 80 hours and is covered by a three-year warranty.
